Long time reader, first time writer. I was in my late teens when USSR collapsed in 1991(in reality it was no picnic even before that), and moved to the US in 1995(so got a good deal first hand experience surviving “tumultuous 90s”, as they were called in the CIS. Recently watched this documentary and was astonished by all the similarities between average Joe suffering in two countries on the opposite sides of the planet, how gullible is general public and how repetitive is the treason of the powers that be.
