Thanks for sharing the video FerFal!

A little feedback/considerations that you might wanna address in the future.

1) Climate and Health
For some (elderly) people with certain medical conditions the warmer climate might be a motivation.

2) Business Opportunities
Example: A young medical doctor might get paid Euro 2000/month in germany for a 60+ hour week.

The same job would pay him almost 5000 Euro/month at 40-50 hour week near the polar circle; Kiruuna in sweden for example.

3) Sex life. Lets not forget those 60+ year old retired folks from 1st world countries who live in south america with their 16+ year old chicas. 2000 Eur/U$ per month retirement will buy you only so much in Berlin or LA, in certain parts of S.A. (like the "Chaco") on the other hand you are THE GUY.

I love the discussion pertaining to the relocating topic. Just want to add my 2 cents: one of the most disturbing documentaries of all time was the construction of the Berlin wall. After WWII, the differences in the Socialist and Capitalist systems were becoming apparent and Berlin was at the epicenter. People were flocking out of the Eastern section to the West due to the much higher Standard of living until 1961, when the wall was built. Then, any attempt to cross over was severely repressed. So, when to bug out? Obviously, when you start to see the door close in front of you, you won't want to wait it out. Another consideration might also be capital controls: as the US is debasing its currency, you may want to consider at least moving some of your assets out of the country. I'm going on vacation in a couple months to the Cayman Islands and am going to see about opening a bank account there.

Pete, you can do a nice bit of research before going to Cayman, even open accounts!
Have a nice trip and please let us know how it went.
